About KSM
About Kick Start Movements
Founded in 2017, KSM was developed by former Dublin football players, Michael McCarthy and William Lowry. Their vision is to teach and coach children on nutrition and physical education in a fun, effective manner; with the aim of increasing a child's participation in physical activity. This will help them grow in confidence and increase their skill levels, with the aim of reducing the growing number of childhood obesity cases. With the aid of Prof Niall Moyna (Operation Transformation, Doctor in the House) and the GPA (Gaelic Players Association) Kick Start Movements is a very successful programme for children aged 2 to 7. Whilst also driven by their passion for sport and innate love of children, Michael and William have made a commitment to help nurture precious talent from a young age. Both co-founders are qualified in Level 8 BA in Education and Training from DCU, and carried out extensive research before creating Kick Start Movements.
